Weight Loss or Fat Loss: The Right Choice?

With the growing need for well-toned abs and biceps, the craving for weight-loss has created a wild frenzy around the world.
But is it WEIGHT that is actually giving us those muffin-tops and fat bellies?

Well it is true that your extra bag hanging out from your abdomen does contribute to your weight, but weight is not the villain here. It is the FAT, that  we should try to burn off.

The current trend of starving yourself till you turn into one of those thin Egyptian mummies is absolutely not the right approach. In fact eating smaller meals throughout the day(about 6 small-meals a day instead of 3 large meals) is better than starving , as the fat-burning process initially requires some calories to start.

Along with the fat-burning process, one should make sure that muscle-mass replaces the fat, and for this the best way is to have a protein-rich diet and not to forget your cardio and weight-training.
Proteins have a complex structure and they help in building muscles, as a result they aid in the fat-loss process. It keeps you from becoming ultra-thin by substituting those flabs with abs while keeping your weight roughly the same.

So try to replace your fatty lunch with a combo of a whey protein shake and some eggs and make sure you consume enough greens and milk.

I enjoyed your post. It’s a lot like college – we should absorb everything we can but ultimately you need to take what you’ve learned and apply it.
